Tandem 2023 Internship

About Tandem

Tandem is an interdisciplinary communication design studio. We approach our practice with a process-oriented and holistic approach that involves active listening, research, exploration, writing, strategic positioning, and presentations in addition to user experience, graphic design, illustration, photography, video, and animation. We’re a tight-knit and compassionate group of people that work closely together on challenging subject matter. Our clients range from national social advocacy organizations and cause-based brands in the racial justice, climate justice, and voter/civic engagement space to local progressive political candidates.

2023 Internships

We consider interns valuable team members and expect that you will contribute to client work, new business pitches, and internal initiatives. We’re searching for candidates that think critically, are passionate about social causes, and eager to learn.

• Location: Greenpoint, Brooklyn, NYC (must be able to work in person)
• Timing: Open to Part-Time (3 days) or Full-Time (5 days) depending on candidate
• Compensation: Paid position ($15/hr minimum)

Design Internship

As a Design Intern at Tandem, you will participate in all facets of the design process from research to production and the accompanying client presentations. You will work closely with our design team in a collaborative process on client work, new business pitches, and internal initiatives. As an example of the kind of work you might encounter in our studio; over the last year we’ve worked on everything from annual reports, posters, and merchandise to rapid response, digital tools, and in-depth branding projects.
